At New Horizon School (NHS), we believe in fostering a strong partnership between parents and educators to create a nurturing and enriching learning environment for our students. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) serves as a vital bridge between the school and families, ensuring open communication, collaboration, and collective efforts to enhance the overall educational experience.

Mission

Roles & Activities

The NHS PTA actively contributes to various aspects of school life, including:
- Academic Support: Collaborating with teachers to provide additional resources and initiatives that aid student learning.
- Community Engagement: Organizing events, awareness programs, and drives that foster social responsibility and community service.
- Well-being & Development: Supporting initiatives related to student health, safety, and personal growth.
- Environmental Responsibility: Leading sustainability projects such as the Sand to Soil Drive, composting initiatives, and participation in the Forever Green Initiative.

Recent PTA Contributions

- Collaboration with Ritz Carlton to receive organic waste for composting, enhancing sustainability efforts at NHS.
- Active participation in the ‘NHS Walls Speak’ initiative, ensuring students’ work is proudly displayed.
- Support for student-led programs such as flipped learning and the ‘Young Leaders of NHS’ project.
- Engagement in key school events like United Nations Day and health & well-being drives.
